Youth Farmers' Market

Youth Market Are you looking for a handmade card, painted rock, homemade cookie, or sweet pepper raised by small hands? You are in luck! Later this summer, NOFA Vermont will collaborate with Vermont Farmers’ Markets to sponsor youth markets in 24 towns throughout Vermont.

On designated farmers’ market days, children and youth will sell a variety of homegrown vegetables, fruits, syrups, and homemade goods. On average, 8-14 youth participate in each market, and spend most of the summer planning, making, or growing the products they will sell.

In addition, at some of the markets, NOFA Vermont Farm to School Regional Mentors will provide activities and taste tests for children, youth, and their families.
