Youth Farmers' Market

Are you looking for a handmade card, painted rock, homemade cookie, or sweet pepper raised by small hands? You are in luck! Later this summer, NOFA-VT will collaborate with Vermont Farmers’ Markets to sponsor youth markets in 24 towns throughout Vermont.
On designated farmers’ market days, children and youth will sell a variety of homegrown vegetables, fruits, syrups, and homemade goods. On average, 8-14 youth participate in each market, and spend most of the summer planning, making, or growing the products they will sell.
In addition, at some of the markets, NOFA-VT Farm to School Regional Mentors will provide activities and taste tests for children, youth, and their families.
