Advocacy for Agriculture
NOFA-VT’s is engaged with a broad range of public issues of interest to our members and related to our programs in organic agriculture, local food systems, and consumer education. In this work we collaborate with individuals and many organizations in Vermont and around the country in addressing legislation, government decisions and policy proposals at the local, state and national levels. We communicate our recommendations and positions to policy makers and government officials, and engage our membership in these communications. We educate the public and members of the agricultural community about issues of importance through the publication of articles and contact with media outlets.
