2007 Understanding Organics & Grazing

February 14-16, 2007, Alfred State College, Alfred, NY
March 6-8, 2007, University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH

NOFA Vermont, in partnership with Quality Milk Production Services (QMPS) of Cornell University, was pleased to host two initial conferences designed to educate extension personnel, veterinarians, nutritionists, and other professionals working with organic or transitioning livestock producers.

These conferences, funded in part through a Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (NESARE), focused on the comprehensive nuts and bolts of organic livestock production and served as the platform for future resources and trainings provided opportunities to develop a basic foundation in organic livestock production or expand on existing knowledge for the experienced participant.

These events qualified for Continuing Education Credit/Professional Development Units and provided a classroom style learning, interactive problem solving and networking opportunities.

Below are links to relevant conference materials; including handouts and PowerPoints from the conference.
