MARKETS & DELIVERY PROGRAM LEAD
We are looking for an outgoing, ambitious, confident farmers market lead that will connect with guests, assist with answering questions and work with the retail manager to make the operation super efficient and fun.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Markets & Delivery Program Lead is responsible for packing and delivering orders to drop off sites in Lyme and Hanover, as well as coordinating and attending two weekly farmers’ markets. This person will work closely with the Farm Retail Manager to organize & pack the truck with delivery and market products and produce. Together, they will meet and discuss ways to improve the process.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a service-minded attitude, a friendly demeanor, and a strong interest in food, cooking, and local, organic agriculture. Must be available to work a Tuesday to Saturday schedule.

Tentative Schedule:
Tuesday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Thursday 12:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Friday 12:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Order & Delivery Duties include:
Packing orders at the farm
Driving to drop off locations in Lyme and Hanover, NH
Keeping track of orders and payments

Farmers’ Market Duties include:
Loading and unloading the market van
Setting up and breaking down the farmers’ market booth and displays
Keeping produce displays well stocked throughout the market

General Duties include:
Greeting customers and helping them locate items
Answering questions about the products we sell, our growing practices, CSA, education programs, and farm policies. Directing customers to other departments or administrative staff to get their questions answered in a timely manner.
Ringing up customers and processing payments
Following food safety protocols
Maintaining a clean and presentable workspace

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of produce
Valid Drivers’ License and a clean driving record
Able to lift up to 50 pounds (totes filled with vegetables)
Able to handle money, make change, and operate scales

COMPENSATION
This is a seasonal position, 30-40 hours per week from mid-April through October, with part-time hours in November and December. The Markets & Delivery Program Lead is an hourly position with benefits including sick time accrual, fresh produce, and a discount to our farmstand. Salary is $16-18/hr depending on work experience.
