Event description:

Join us for this virtual roundtable where we will be joined by pasture based dairy farmers from New York and New England as they discuss a grant they received to implement the use of automatic gate openers (Batt Latches) and targeted reseeding after soil amendments. These strategies aimed to improve dry matter intake during the grazing season while improving soil health and overall farm sustainability, but did that work? We'll hear the different experiences these farmers had when implementing these practices: what worked, how implementation could have been improved, and overall impression of the changes they made.

Participating Farms (though not all will be at the event): Larson Farm, Chaseholm Farm, North Country Creamery, Milkhouse Farm, Rebop Farm, K & O Farm, Northwind Farm
