About the Farm

Morse Brook Farm is a 207 acre hill pasture based livestock farm in Westminster, VT. We have 80 acres of open land which we graze rotationally and a 16 acre sugar bush. We run about 80 breeding ewes and their lambs, and have had some cattle in a pasture raised system. We bring in a portion of our hay needs from our land. We are currently rehabilitating the land including renovating pastures and removing invasive species.

Our primary products center around maple syrup and sheep (meat and wool). Our long term goal is to return the farm to a healthy sustainable state by using contemporary methods to improve soil health and long term viability, while creating a more resilient and biodiverse environment. We manage our stock with sheep dogs and provide learning, training and trialing opportunities to the sheep dog community. And we hope to expand educational opportunities for small ruminant holders in the near future.
