NOFA-VT Member Meetings

NOFA-VT’s membership has a long history of coming together in the face of challenges and creating solutions that have a national impact. Fifty years ago, when federal policy demanded farms “get big or get out,” Vermont farmers came together to chart a different path—laying the foundation for the thriving organic movement we know today. That same spirit of possibility is alive in our membership now, and NOFA-VT member meetings are one way for members to stay in touch with each other and our shared mission for a more better food system. Let's create what's possible, together!

Monthly Member Meetings

We gather virtually on the third Tuesday of each month from 6-7:15 pm. The focus of these meetings is guided by NOFA-VT’s Policy Steering Committee—a group of farmers and members who draw from our history of grassroots organizing to address today’s challenges—and will be further shaped by the people who attend. We're launching these meetings in the autumn of 2025 due to requests from some members for more regular touch points. If you have any feedback, please let us know by emailing [email protected].

Monthly member meetings are open to all NOFA-VT members and to anyone curious about joining. If you’re interested in engaging more with NOFA-VT—and especially our work to organize and build people power—come tune in!

Upcoming Meetings:

September Member Meeting | Tuesday, 9/23, 6-7:15 pm | Topic: Drought and Farm Security Fund

Member Gatherings

In addition to monthly virtual meetings, we also host occasional other gatherings and meetings for members. These may be in-person events—often accompanied by a pot-luck dinner and plenty of time for socializing—or ad-hoc virtual gatherings to discuss an emergent issue.

To stay up to date on occasional member gatherings, make sure you're subscribed to our email newsletter, following us on Instagram or Facebook, or frequently checking our event calendar.
