Learn to use the bounty from your herb garden in this culinary Make + Take with Red Wagon owner, Julie Rubaud. Together, we will make Herbes Salées, Herb Salt, and a Compound Herb Butter. This will give you lots of ideas for using up your own herbs, and you will leave with lots of goodies for your fridge, freezer, and pantry. We will use fresh herbs from our display gardens and Herb Farm, and take in all of the flavors, fragrance and bounty that summer has to offer. This class is hands on, and takes place in our new commercial kitchen overlooking our gardens and majestic views of Camel's Hump. Our Make + Take classes are a fun way to spend an evening with friends and family.

Children 12 and over are welcome, with an adult. We will be using sharp knives.

About our presenter:

Julie Rubaud, founder and owner of Red Wagon Plants, has devoted her life to cultivating abundant gardens and preparing good food. A community builder at heart, Julie nourishes Vermont through the home gardeners she inspires and the bounty they produce. In her spare time, Julie can be found organizing jars of tomato sauce and pickles in the basement or tootling around in her garden.
