Happy Summer Season to All!
I know this is the busy season for farms everywhere so I will put a short description and a longer one.
Short Version
My name is Amy and I have been working within organic agriculture for over 12 years. Most of my experience has been working on farms and also managing food cooperatives in the winter months. We are wanting to make the move to Vermont to be closer with family and I am planning ahead to make sure there is enough opportunities in agriculture out there for me. We are at the beginning stages of planning our move, but with our lease being up in March 2027, I am starting the journey of looking for possible future employment. Any leads or tips for someone entering the community is appreciated !

My name is Amy and I am a farmer, with over 12 years experience working on farms around Michigan. I attended Michigan State University’s Organic Farmer Training program when I was 20 and have been madly in love with local food systems ever since. I have explored many areas of the local food system, even managing a food cooperative and serving on the local food council, but farming has always been my number one love. I have experience with both vegetable and flower farming but admittedly veggie farms are my favorite. I also have experience with Nubian goats and leading goat hikes within the community back home. Needless to say, agriculture and local food systems are my deepest passion. I have heard such wonderful things about Vermonts food systems and would feel so honored to be a part of it in the future!
