We purchased these animals mid-may but had another flock opportunity come up.We are looking to move these animals to simplify our operation.
22 Dorset, DorsetX ewes with some Texel, Border Leicester, Cheviot Influence. Ram is a Dorset. These animals have not been exposed to a ram yet, we had been planning to put him in late December/January for lambing on pasture.
Ram has been getting 1# cracked corn/day to boost body condition prior to breeding.
Have been kept separate as their own flock from the new animals that came in October. Animals have not been tested for OPP.
Ewes got moved into a burdock patch so not the best wool year for them.
Ideally looking to move all as a group. Could discuss potentially keeping ewes here for flushing purposes.
Happy to entertain any offers- we are not able to truck ourselves but do have a hauler that would truck out of Vermont from $4.50/loaded mile. We also have a network in Vermont that could haul.
