Witt Acres Farm (Fairfax, VT) is a small wholesale organic vegetable farm with a small beef herd seeking assistance primarily with the vegetable operation starting in August 2026. Crops grown include sweet corn, green beans, peppers, eggplant, scallions, parsley, watermelon, lettuce, carrots, beets, parsnips, turnips, winter squash, potatoes, cabbage, chard, and kale. Tasks will include transplanting (with a mechanical transplanter), hoeing, and harvesting of diverse vegetable crops with occasional help with fencing and moving the beef herd. Qualifications:
- Interest in wholesale vegetable production
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Able to problem solve
- Able to quickly learn and complete repetitive tasks
- Work in adverse weather conditions
- Experience with equipment (tractor, truck, pallet jack) preferred
Compensation and benefits:
- Starting wage: $16-$18 (depending on experience/education)
- Paid overtime (1.5x wage) if needed
