JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for someone to join our livestock crew. We're looking to hire someone to do some egg washing and help with weekend chores, as well help with some other farm projects. This would look like 1 - 1.5 days/week, mostly weekend hours, with occasional weekday chores.
Basic responsibilities include:
Egg washing and packing
Daily chores for laying hens, meat birds, chicks, and pigs
Moving beef cattle
Fencing projects
The ideal candidate should:
Have some previous farming experience
Be able to work efficiently
Be comfortable interacting with a variety of farm animals
Be able to work both solo and in groups
Be willing to learn, but also be confident to take initiative with tasks
Be able to problem solve on your own
Be able to work long hours on your feet, lift 50 lbs
Have some familiarity with tools
We are willing to train the right candidate regardless of experience.
Pay is $16/hr.
