The work at Sunrise is primarily focused on certified-organic vegetable production, though the ten-person Sunrise crew is part of everything from seeding vegetables to slaughtering chickens to maple sugaring to light carpentry. Our 400-member CSA is entirely on-farm pickup, so you will have a chance to interact with CSA members whether you’re restocking the kale or selling lamb sausage. The job is 40 hours per week, 7:30 AM to 4 PM with a half hour off for lunch, Monday through Friday. Housing on-farm or in a house adjacent to the farm is available if needed. The work season generally runs from mid-April through Thanksgiving.
