Bread Baker – We are looking for a bread baker to join our team. This role includes preparing and mixing natural and yeasted ferments, hand-forming dough, and baking bread in a hearth oven. It is a very physical position that requires lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, standing for the duration of the shift, and repetitive use of hands, wrists, arms, and back.
Pastry Baker – We are also hiring a pastry baker. This role includes mixing and laminating doughs and baking pastries to Red Hen’s quality standards. Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork are essential. The role also requires lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Bread and Pastry Bakers typically start between $17.50 - $19.00 per hour, with clear opportunities to increase pay as they develop proficiency and consistency in the role. Core bakers earn $20.50 - $24 per hour, and our most experienced team members can earn up to $28.00 per hour over time. Pay is based on prior experience, demonstrated skill, and progression toward proficiency. Advancement into the core range reflects consistent quality, efficiency, and the ability to work independently across bread production.
