Over the past three years (2022–2025), our locally led public engagement process has identified three top community priorities: working lands viability, flood resilience, and food security.

In response, we developed a Conservation Action Plan focused on addressing those concerns, including a long‑term goal of implementing 1,000 acres of intensive agroforestry practices across Bennington County. We will continue moving toward that goal unless or until community input directs us otherwise through our annual survey and Local Working Group meetings.

Please take a few moments to review our current Conservation Action Plan and then complete our Annual Survey. Your feedback will be combined with the ongoing input we gather throughout the year as part of the Locally Led Process.

This collective community guidance shapes our priorities and is formally reviewed at our Local Working Group meetings. Thank you for helping ensure this work continues to reflect the needs and vision of our community.
