We’re gathering to develop what a Vermont Farm and Food Bill could look like, what it would take, and meaningful change we can make along the way.
Seed sovereignty is core to our food security, and Vermont has a thriving community-based seed exchange ecosystem. States--including Vermont--are facing pressure to pass state seed policies that could undermine some of our most valued community based seed practices. Now is the time to protect and expand the practices that ensure seed sovereignty in Vermont.
Alexis Yamashita--seed sovereignty advocate and NOFA-VT Board member--is anchoring this meeting at NOFA-VT's Richmond office. We hope you join us.
We'll have food to share! Feel free to bring additions if you like and it's easy. If you’re not yet a member of NOFA-VT but interested in our work, we need you too. We’ll invite you to join at the meeting, or you can become a member at nofavt.org.
