A towering giant in our lives has fallen, and we call on all those who recognize Wendell Berry’s spirit to gather with us this Sunday, September 20, for food, community, singing and reading, and a dedication in his honor of one of the buildings in our memorial forest.

 

Schedule of Events

Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Knoll Farm:

 

12:30

Gather in the barn for a potluck. Bring a dish to share, and we’ll provide a giant soup

1:30

Bring your favorite Wendell Berry poems and prose to read aloud. Readings will be joined by community song.

3:00

Parade to the memorial forest for a dedication of one of the buildings there to Wendell Berry. Please bring pictures, books, objects that evoke his memory to remain there.  No one dies until we stop telling their story.

Head home
