Our members are clear: “We want to say ‘yes’ to something else.”
We want to say yes to getting and keeping farmers on land and making a decent living, to health care and being able to care for our children and elders, and to keeping everyone in our communities fed. We need to account for full costs of production. We need everyone–long-time farmers, farmers seeking land, dairy and veg farmers, families, new Vermonters, and eaters–asking the right questions and generating ways forward, together. We need to lead the way with a Vermont Farm and Food Bill that starts with us.
We’re gathering to develop what a Vermont Farm and Food Bill could look like, what it would take, and meaningful change we can make along the way. You have a place at the table. Come join in.
We'll have lunch, feel free to bring additions if you like and it's easy. If you’re not yet a member of NOFA-VT but interested in our work, we need you too. We’ll invite you to join at the meeting, or you can join online at nofavt.org.
