Join us at Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center, a non-profit educational organic farm situated along the Connecticut River in East Thetford! The team at Cedar Circle is deeply committed to regenerative organic agriculture and providing opportunities for the community to engage with a resilient local food system. The farm grows certified organic vegetables, berries, greens, herbs, and cut flowers on their 25 acres, and they also offer a variety of agricultural education programming and training to their community with the hope of building connections between food, ecosystems, and community. RSVP and enjoy dinner baked in NOFA-VT’s wood-fired pizza oven, followed by a farm tour.
In partnership with the One Hive Foundation, a special screening of their film, Seeding Change: Farming Beyond Neonics, will close out the evening! From Quebec farms to Cornell field trials, farmers and researchers explore what cultivating a future without neonicotinoid (‘neonic’) treated seeds could look like in the Northeast U.S. and beyond, as bans increasingly take effect on the world’s most widely used insecticide.
Cost: $15-$30 adults, $10 kids 4-12, free for BIPOC*
*We aim to keep our event prices low for everyone, but if the cost of registration is a barrier, please reach out to request a scholarship.
