Two adults, a child, and a dog pose in a farm fieldJoin us for farm-fresh pizza and a celebration of Understory Farm, a small family flower farm in Bridport.

With 4 acres and 6 greenhouses, owners Jessie and Gregory Witscher have spent the last 11 seasons growing specialty cut flowers. They believe in the power of flowers to bring beauty, joy, and environmental and economic thriving to the community. Their important work is acknowledged by several NOFA-VT awards, including Resilience Grants in 2021 and 2022 and a Vermont Family Farmer of the Month Award last year. RSVP and enjoy dinner baked in NOFA-VT's wood-fired pizza oven, followed by a farm tour. Gluten-free and dairy-free pizza available onsite upon request.

Stop by the Platt Memorial Library table to sign up for a free library card, snag a kids' book, and make a tissue paper flower to take home.
