Join UVM Extension for a workshop to develop individualized protocols for the herd health of your small ruminant operation, led by veterinarian Dr. Dayna Locitzer. This workshop will review the importance of creating protocols, where on the farm they are best used, and the best strategies for designing your own protocols.

Participants will have the opportunity to break up into groups with similar farm operations to create protocols together with guidance from Dr. Locitzer. Examples of such protocols include: lambing/kidding, management of common diseases such as listeria, polio, and pneumonia, and protocols for parasite control.

The workshop is geared toward commercial sheep and goat producers of all kinds (dairy/meat/fiber) who are looking to refine their herd health systems. It is free and refreshments will be provided.
