The session will cover topics including tree health, sugar dynamics in trees, taphole formation, tree injury response, and wood growth. Additionally, PMRC staff will showcase long-term tree health research being conducted at the Center as well as provide hands-on tapping activities for participants. Whether you are new to maple sugaring or have been making maple products for decades, all are welcome to attend. The workshop is limited to 30 people. Registration closes April 30, 2026. Sign up today to secure your spot!

Funding for the Sustainable Tapping Workshop was made possible by a grant/cooperative agreement from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service. Its contents are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official views of the USDA.
