Join Katie Cameron of Cry Baby Clay for a terracotta pinch pot workshop. Hand sculpt your own custom terracotta planter in this 1.5 hour session. Katie will guide you through the process with a nice balance of group instruction, 1-on-1 assistance, and opportunities for individual exploration. We'll go over scratching and attaching techniques to adorn your pot with extra decorative clay elements. The firing of your one of a kind terracotta pot is included in the workshop price, and your project will become available for pickup at Red Wagon Plants about 3 weeks after the workshop date. Planters will be unglazed terracotta and can be decorated further with acrylic paints after firing if desired. All materials are provided.
Katie Cameron is a local potter who creates under the moniker, Cry Baby Clay. Her classes are fun, welcoming, silly, and informative. Katie prioritizes authenticity and play in her everyday life, which certainly comes through in her ceramic work as well. She’s also a standup comedian, so you’re basically getting a 2-for-1 deal on a clay class and a comedy show!
