Join Franklin County NRCD for this year's first Maple Producer Workshop on Saturday, November 8th, at Hi Vue Maples in Richford to learn about carbon cycling in forests and the impacts of extreme weather on Vermont sugar bushes.
Dr. Alexandra Kosiba with UVM Extension will discuss carbon dynamics, species diversity, and forest health as we walk through the maple forest. Hi Vue Maples is involved in programs such as Audubon Vermont’s Bird-Friendly Maple Program, Cold Hollow to Canada's Woodlots Program, and a carbon cooperative launched by Vermont Land Trust and Cold Hollow to Canada.
Please be prepared to walk on rugged terrain, uphill through the Vermont forest. There is no restroom on site, the nearest restroom is located at 308 S Main St, Richford, VT 05476.
We are committed to making this event as accessible as possible. If you have any questions or require an accommodation or service to participate, please contact Kerry Brosnan ([email protected], 802-309-2081).
