Farm Hop Details

$40 for members, $50 for non-members,  kids under 12 are free. Price includes walk, dinner (wood fired pizza/salad/lemonade), art-making, and music.  All proceeds go toward the NOFA-VT Farm Share program. Register here.

Spend the afternoon walking to four different farms along a 4.5 mile route. At each stop, participants will have a chance to tour the farms and meet the farmers, participate in community-building activities, and celebrate the ways in which local, organic agriculture, and the strong community it creates, are effective in combating large scale problems of today. We’ll visit Maple Wind Farm, Burnt Rock Farm, Pleasant Mount Farm, and end the day with a celebration of live music and dinner from NOFA-VT's wood fired pizza oven at Jubilee Farm.

This fundraising walk brings to life the vision of NOFA-VT's late Executive Director, Enid Wonnacott, and her idea of a farm-to-farm walk across the state. The event honors Enid’s respect of farmers, desire to unite farmers and the greater community, and love of walking long distances. Enid saw farmers to be deeply creative, spirited, skilled, practical and wise people who are strongly dedicated to the land. She wanted people to know the farmers in their community, and to thank them for their love and dedication to the land, and for feeding us.
