Golden Apple Family Farm in Charlotte is a VOF-certified, highly diversified, small farm seeking full-time or part-time labor for the 2026 farm season with opportunity for extension of part-time labor beyond the season.
The farm currently has need for work in all areas of the farm - poultry, sheep management, greenhouse and field gardens, cut flowers, perennial garden maintenance, and berry management. Work experience in at least some of the areas above is required, and there will be opportunity to learn new skills in the role. The job requires significant physical activity and outdoor exposure with a physical capacity to carry up to 50#. Communication skills and record keeping will also be important for our relationships with our customers and community partners and for our ongoing VOF certification. There is no housing, and transportation to the farm will be necessary. Our farm is currently being maintained only with labor from our family, including our four children who will be a constant presence on the property. Starting pay of $20/hr with opportunity for higher wages based on significant experience or performance in the role. Work schedule is negotiable. References will be a part of the application process.
