Join NOFA-NH at Picadilly Farm on Saturday, September 13, from 1:00–3:30 PM for a focused, in-depth workshop designed for organic growers looking to strengthen their soil fertility practices.
Led by longtime grower Bruce Wooster, this intensive will walk participants through a full year of fertility planning and decision-making at Picadilly Farm. You'll gain insight into how the farm sets long-term goals for soil health, tracks soil metrics, and integrates cover cropping, purchased inputs, and equipment into their fertility strategy.
The session will also explore how Picadilly’s record-keeping systems support compliance with the National Organic Program and the Food Safety Modernization Act, while remaining aligned with broader farm goals.
Picadilly Farm operates on 71 sandy-loam acres in Winchester, NH, with 35 acres in active crop production. At least half of those acres are in cover crops at any time, and the farm prioritizes selective tillage, minimal compost use, and a business-minded approach to sustainability.
Whether you’re looking to refine your fertility planning, improve soil health, or align your systems with organic compliance requirements, this workshop offers real-world insights from a farm with nearly two decades of experience.
