Arbor Farm Market is a farmer-owned shop in lovely South Hero, VT specializing in local produce and Vermont products. We are hiring part-time retail staff to assist with day-to-day market responsibilities, including customer service and stocking. Please see below for additional details.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and help customers throughout their store visit, including completing customer transactions using a Square POS system

- Upkeep compelling product displays with close attention to maintaining a robust fresh produce and live plant inventory

- Maintain a tidy and welcoming shop space and actively cultivate a community-oriented atmosphere

- Work closely with the market manager to tangentially support administrative tasks and business development

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age and able to lift 40 pounds

- One year professional experience in a retail/agricultural setting preferred; willing to train the right candidate

- Familiarity (and enthusiasm!) for local food systems, especially within Vermont

- Track record of being an innovative team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment

Compensation: 
- Hourly, dependent on experience

Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center is seeking a Director of Agriculture to lead our dynamic, mission-driven farming operations. This full-time, year-round position oversees all aspects of organic production, including vegetable and perennial programs, native plant nursery management, research initiatives, and facilities operations. 

The Director of Agriculture will guide a team of production managers, develop and implement strategic production plans, manage budgets and resources, and foster collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with our nonprofit mission. This role also involves working closely with external research partners, supporting regenerative farming practices, and advancing innovative strategies that promote soil health, biodiversity, and sustainability. 

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in organic agriculture, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to balance big-picture vision with hands-on operational management.

I have 10 bred heifers and a fresh heifer for sale. Due now through April.  

I want them gone before winter.

We have approximately 25 acres of fields in West Brookfield, near Route 12, and we're looking for someone to hay the fields at least once, up to three times, a year. We've had three different farmers help us out over the last eight years, but none of them are available any longer. We applied dolomitic lime and organic fertilizer three years ago, and the fields have been hayed only once since. No non-organic substance has been used on the fields since at least fall of 2017 when we purchased the farm. In return for doing the haying, you'll receive all of the hay the first year, with terms negotiable for subsequent years.
